In addition to individual lessons, students will attend group lessons scheduled throughout the year.
In these lessons, your child will have the opportunity to perform before his/her peers in a comfortable setting. Through group activities and games, your child will also be introduced to composers’ lives and music, and review music theory taught during the lesson, compose music, and of course, eat a snack!
Group lessons begin and end on time. If you arrive early, please have your child wait on the porch until his/her designated time. For safety reasons, it’s recommended that your child is picked up promptly. There are no private lessons the weeks that group lessons are scheduled.
Held at the studio, only piano students may attend. Feel free to wait in the parking lot or take advantage of an hour of “free-time.”
Lessons are planned and groups are determined based on your child’s prior knowledge and age. Your child will benefit most from the ear-training, music comprehension, and famous composer activities if in his/her designated group. However, if s/he can’t attend the assigned session, please call to find another suitable group.
